Hungarian lake tourism alliance and Târgu Mureș-Debrecen partnership formed

Tourism organizations and stakeholders from Lake Balaton, Lake Tisza, and Lake Velence have formed a new alliance to promote the natural and cultural value of Hungary’s major lakes. The initiative aims to shift the public narrative away from environmental challenges and climate change concerns toward the regions' ecological diversity and sustainable tourism potential. The alliance will launch educational programs for influencers, bloggers, and experts to foster authentic reporting and build trust among domestic and international travelers.

In a separate development, the municipalities of Târgu Mureș and Debrecen have signed a cooperation agreement. The partnership focuses on collaboration in culture, education, tourism, economy, sports, and public administration. The agreement, signed by mayors Zoltán Soós and László Papp, encourages experience sharing and joint projects, building on existing ties between the cities' cultural institutions and festivals.
