Hungarian literature and famous figures highlighted in new quizzes

Two online quizzes have been launched to test knowledge of Hungarian cultural heritage. The first quiz challenges participants on classic works of Hungarian and world literature, asking about iconic opening lines, settings such as rivers, gardens and summer scenes, and well‑known characters. It aims to gauge how well readers remember school‑time lessons and classic novels.

The second quiz focuses on Hungarians who achieved international fame, featuring figures such as Puskás Tivadar, John von Neumann, Katalin Karikó, Ernő Rubik and Judit Polgár. Questions cover their roles abroad, for example which monarch’s doctor was Orlay János, or which army Asbóth Sándor served as a general. Both quizzes seek to engage the public with Hungary’s literary and scientific legacy.
