Hungarian literature: New works from Zoltán Riersch and Péter Nádas

Several new literary works have been announced in Hungary. Poet Zoltán Riersch has released his twenty-fifth volume, titled ‘Add meg nekem’, published by Parnasszus Kiadó. The collection features both selected and new works, serving as a reflection of the author's creative evolution over several decades.

Additionally, a posthumous collection of essays by the renowned writer Péter Nádas, titled ‘Most az egyszer’, is set for release. Following Nádas's death in August 2026, this volume addresses contemporary global challenges, including the climate crisis, the crisis of democracy, and the influence of globalized markets. An Okapi Press publication, a posthumous volume of poetry is also expected in October, marking a rare look at works the author never published during his lifetime.
