Hungarian Minister Zoltán Tarr Accused of Nepotism in Museum Appointment

KDNP MP Tibor Navracsics criticised Minister Zoltán Tarr for appointing his brother‑in‑law, art historian Zsombor Jélky, as head of the Industrial Art Museum (Iparművészeti Múzeum). Navracsics posted on Facebook that the move contradicts the TISZA party’s anti‑nepotism campaign, calling the appointment “not such a brother‑in‑law”. The decision followed the dismissal of the museum’s previous director, Zoltán Cselovszki.
