Hungarian national teams face defeats in volleyball and water polo

In European volleyball championship action in Istanbul, the Hungarian women's national volleyball team suffered a 0-3 defeat against Poland. Poland dominated the first set with a 25-12 score, utilizing strong blocking and a 70 percent attack efficiency. Hungary improved in the second set, nearly forcing a decider, but ultimately lost the set 24-26.

In youth water polo, the Hungarian U18 women's national team lost 13-10 to host nation Spain in the semifinals of the age-group World Championship. Despite a late effort in the final quarter where both teams scored four goals, Spain secured their place in the final. Hungary will now compete in the bronze medal match against the United States.
