Hungarian officials hold consultations with Transylvanian Hungarian community

György Heidl, State Secretary for Social Relations, and István Kollai, Deputy State Secretary for National Policy, conducted professional consultations with the Hungarian community in Transylvania. During their visit to Cluj-Napoca, the officials met with key figures in political, religious, cultural, and higher education sectors, including the rector of Babeș-Bolyai University.

The discussions focused on addressing long-standing, unresolved issues. Heidl emphasized that the upcoming Hungarian national policy will be shaped by the actual needs expressed locally by Transylvanian Hungarian communities rather than being dictated from Budapest, aiming to support initiatives that ensure long-term viability.
