Hungarian officials report successes at EU summit and Norwegian Fund agreement

Prime Minister Péter Magyar expressed satisfaction following a two-day European Council summit in Brussels, stating that Hungarian interests were upheld in all critical matters. He described the negotiations as intense, involving heated debates and veto threats, but concluded that the country achieved its objectives.

Separately, Foreign Minister Anita Orbán announced an agreement regarding the Norwegian Fund and the EEA Financing Mechanism. This agreement will provide over 92 billion forints in support to Hungary in the coming years. While the government recently announced the deal, civil organizations have reportedly been able to apply for certain portions of this funding since February.
