Hungarian police conduct inspections and weapon seizures

Hungarian authorities have conducted various enforcement actions across different regions. The Kisbér Police Station has ordered increased inspections from September 11 to September 13, 2026, to maintain public order and safety.

In Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County, police conducted a large-scale traffic check on the M3 motorway. Officers inspected driver documentation, vehicle technical conditions, and the use of safety equipment. The operation resulted in 30 on-the-spot fines and 37 administrative fines for failure to use passive safety devices.

In Pécs, police intervened at the railway station prior to the Pride parade. Three individuals were detained after authorities discovered dangerous weapons, including knives and ‘viper’ devices, during searches. Additionally, a group known as HVIM organized a protest involving the dispersal of strong odors near the gathering site, causing participants to relocate the assembly point due to the unpleasant smell.
