Hungarian political leaders address constitutional and water management issues

Hungarian political figures are addressing constitutional matters and national resource management. Márton Melléthei-Barna, a representative from Tisza, discussed the limitations placed on the Constitutional Court by legal frameworks established by Fidesz. He noted that the court's ability to rule on the substance of constitutional amendments is restricted by existing procedural rules, arguing that politics has increasingly influenced the constitutional process.

Separately, Gábor Vona, leader of the Second Reform Age Party, issued an open letter to President András Baka regarding the country's water management crisis. Vona criticized the current political climate for using disaster situations for communication purposes and partisan games rather than long-term planning. He called on the President to convene a National Water Management Roundtable involving political, professional, civil, and green organizations to establish a national water agreement.
