Hungarian public media paid experts for online content

Public interest data requests have revealed that Hungarian public media has provided financial compensation to several experts for online content and studies. According to Duna Médiaszolgáltató, the MTVA has maintained contractual relationships over the past five years with individuals and organizations linked to Tamás Lánczi, Zoltán Kiszelly, and the Lomnici Law Office.

Specifically, Zoltán Kiszelly received a total of 9.68 million HUF between 2021 and 2026 for creating the Mozgástér blog, while the Lomnici Law Office received 9.435 million HUF plus VAT for posts on the Alaptörvényblog. While Tamás Lánczi had contracts for writing and reading comments and notes as an individual, no payments were recorded for him during the specified period. Duna Médiaszolgáltató noted that these experts did not receive fees for their appearances on M1 channel programs.
