Hungarian theaters announce new stage productions

Budapest's Centrál Színház is set to premiere ‘Furcsa pár’ (The Odd Couple) on September 18. The production features the first-ever stage collaboration between actors Róbert Alföldi and András Stohl. Directed by Tamás Puskás, the play is a fresh translation of the Neil Simon classic, focusing on the comedic and dramatic tensions between two roommates with opposing personalities.

Additionally, the Pannon Várszínház is returning to the stage with a new production of ‘Légy jó mindhalálig!’ (Be Good Until Death!). Directed by László Vándorfi, this musical offers a modern interpretation of the story, centering on the character Misi and his navigation of an unjust world. The production is noted for its diverse cast and character portrayals.
