Hungarian thriller 'A pokol élővilága' starring Cserhalmi György releases in November

The independent Hungarian psychothriller "A pokol élővilága" (The Hell's Living World) is set for a nationwide cinema release on 26 November 2026. Directed by Hartung Attila and produced by Lupa Pictures, the film features veteran actors Cserhalmi György and Alföldi Róbert alongside a cast that includes Nagy Márk, Mészöly Anna, Tenki Réka and Lengyel Tamás.

The story follows Henrik, a guest at the Szentiványi family’s castle, uncovering the dark legacy of a construction‑industry oligarchic family whose influence spans politics and economics. Themes of generational guilt and the possibility of breaking inherited cycles are explored through the metaphor of an ever‑present “hell”. The film’s independent production allowed creative freedom despite limited financing, and it will be distributed by Mozinet.
