Hungarian towns host June night‑time cultural and sport festivals

On June 12, Nagyatád held its annual Movement Night, a free community event featuring a programme of sports and recreational activities such as senior dance, rhythmic gymnastics, karate demonstrations, Zumba, Tabata, yoga, and night‑time walks. The event, organized by local clubs and civil organisations, aims to promote regular exercise and social interaction for all ages.

A week later, on June 20, Veszprém opened its Museum Night, keeping cultural venues open late for a programme that includes exhibitions, gastronomy tastings, a Japanese Sashiko textile workshop, Korean bojagi demonstrations, and performances across 25 locations. The night highlights local heritage, food culture and sustainable textile arts, bringing together museums, art houses and the newly‑participating Villa Romana.

Both festivals are part of a nationwide effort to encourage community engagement through evening cultural and physical activities.
