Hungarian universities announce new foundation leadership

Several Hungarian universities have announced new leadership for their founding foundations following appointments by the Ministry of Education and Children.

The Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (MATE) has established a new curatorship. Péter Umenhoffer, CEO of Bio-Nat Kft., has been appointed as president. The board includes Ádám Ragoncza, Dr. Endre Zsolt Dobos, Gábor Antal, and Linda Szommerné Egyed. The foundation is responsible for managing the university's financing, institutional development, and exercising founding rights.

Similarly, the University of Szeged (SZTE) has finalized its new curatorship and supervisory board members. Dr. Mihály Szajbély, a literary historian, will serve as the president of the curatorship starting September 1st. Other new members include biologist Dr. Éva Zsuzsanna Kondorosi, Péter Zoltán Álmos (President of the Hungarian Medical Chamber), criminal lawyer Dr. Zsolt Szomora, and former Pick CEO Endre József Nagy. Zoltán Major will lead the supervisory board.
