Hungarian villages schedule ground mosquito spraying in June 2026

The municipalities of Deszk and Szigetújfalu in Hungary announced ground mosquito control operations to be carried out in the evenings after sunset on June 29‑30, 2026, with follow‑up treatments on July 1‑2. The spray will use Deltasect PR 1.2 ULV liquid or Deltasect PR 20 ULV concentrate, applied at 0.6‑0.8 L per hectare. The product targets only insects, is harmless to warm‑blooded animals, and degrades within a few hours.

Residents are advised to cover or collect outdoor toys, food, utensils and drying clothes on the treatment day, keep windows and doors closed and turn off ventilation devices for the treatment hour, wash any produce from treated areas before consumption, stay away from the spraying vehicle, and eliminate standing water that can breed mosquito larvae.

The announcements aim to reduce mosquito populations and protect public health in the two villages.
