Hungary announces Hild Center holding and Transportation Museum tender
Minister of Transport and Investment Dávid Vitézy has announced the creation of the Hild Center, a new holding company designed to consolidate various investment-related entities under the ministry. The holding will include the Steindl Imre Program Nonprofit Zrt. (SIP), which is tasked with the reconstruction of the Museum of Applied Arts, as well as Expo Park Kft and the investment division of Városliget Zrt. The Hild Center is expected to be led by György Ambrus.
As part of this restructuring, the state and the capital city of Budapest have reached an agreement regarding the Rákosrendező project. Instead of the city paying the remaining balance for the site, the two parties will share ownership of a joint development company, with the Hild Center acting as the state's arm.
Additionally, the conditional public procurement process for the construction of the new Transportation Museum in Kőbánya has officially launched. This project aims to revitalize a former railway industrial site to preserve Hungary's transport and vehicle manufacturing heritage. The procurement process is expected to take between 8 and 12 months, after which the government will make a final decision on funding based on the current budget situation.
