Hungary heat wave strains One Magyarország telecom services

One Magyarország warned that the ongoing extreme heat in Hungary is overloading electricity networks, which could cause temporary interruptions to its mobile, fixed‑line and television services. The provider said that the high temperatures are leading to power‑grid failures and overheating of telecom equipment, resulting in possible quality degradation such as signal dropouts, picture or sound glitches.

The heatwave has already broken temperature records across the country, prompting a third‑degree alert from health authorities. One Magyarország is working with power suppliers to stabilise the grids and mitigate service disruptions while the heat persists.
