The results of the 2026 supplementary higher education admission process in Hungary have been announced, with several major institutions reporting strong enrollment numbers.

The University of Debrecen reported a successful outcome, with 939 students admitted following 1,791 applications. This includes 230 students for state-funded programs and 709 for self-funded programs. The most popular faculties included health sciences, child education and special education, and economics. Law, special education, and judicial administration were among the most successful programs in terms of successful admissions.

The Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (MATE) also saw significant results, admitting 604 students from 1,046 applicants. This brings the university's total enrollment for the upcoming academic year to 4,537 students. MATE noted that admission thresholds for state-funded positions in the supplementary round were often higher than those in the general admission period, indicating a high-quality and motivated student base. Popular fields of study at MATE include agriculture, engineering, and pedagogy.
