Hungary holiday schedule for All Saints' and All Souls' Day 2026

In 2026, All Saints' Day falls on Sunday, November 1. While it is an official public holiday, its occurrence on a Sunday means it will not result in an additional day off for those on a standard work schedule. Normal working hours will resume on Monday, November 2.

Most grocery stores, shops, and shopping centers will be closed on Sunday, November 1. Legal exceptions for operating during the holiday include pharmacies on duty, gas stations, 24-hour convenience stores, flower shops, and vendors located near cemeteries.

Cemeteries in the capital and larger regional cities are expected to have extended opening hours during the holiday period, typically from 7:00 to 20:00.
