Hungary hosts AI-focused summer academy and parent forum on digital literacy

The 12th Andragogy Summer Academy was held at the TIT Körösök Vidéke Egyesület, featuring four presentations and a round‑table on generative artificial intelligence, access and equality in higher education, the impact of AI on the world of work, and digital citizenship. Dr. Malatyinszki Szilárd of Neumann János University opened the event, and EdTech expert Dr. Zuti Pál highlighted the role of AI in everyday activities, emphasizing that lifelong learning now includes mastering AI tools.

In Békéscsaba, the Mathias Corvinus Collegium organised a Parents' Academy where media researcher Ádám Gould addressed the influence of screens and AI on Alpha and Z generations. He stressed, “Nem az a kérdés, hogy a mesterséges intelligencia része lesz‑e gyermekeink életének, hanem az, hogy megtanulják‑e felelősen használni.” The talk called for families, schools and society to teach responsible digital use and to develop digital competence as a key future skill.

Both events aim to equip adults and the next generation in Hungary with the knowledge and critical thinking needed to navigate rapid AI‑driven changes.
