Hungary hosts healthcare future conference and startup funding program
The Egyensúly Intézet held its annual professional conference, ‘Hungary 2030 – The Future of Hungarian Healthcare,’ on October 8. Supported by a 5 million HUF contribution from BioTechUSA, the event gathered over one hundred government officials, industry leaders, and researchers to discuss the long-term challenges of the healthcare system.
Key discussion topics included reducing leading causes of death, increasing life expectancy, and the role of prevention and public health. Panels also addressed making the healthcare system more accessible, predictable, and equitable, while exploring ways to better align public and private healthcare services.
Separately, a new opportunity has opened for Hungarian startups and SMEs through the Corporate Readiness Program, a joint initiative by Startup Campus and iScale Hub. The program aims to connect established businesses with corporate partners such as Helia-D, Doktor24, and AUMOVIO. Selected projects may access financing ranging from 30 to 80 million HUF to support developments in sectors including cosmetics, digital health, and industrial artificial intelligence.
