Hungary hosts international theater camp in Békéscsaba and summer music academy in Szeged

The Békéscsabai Jókai Színház will host an international theatre creators’ camp from June 28 to July 6, bringing nearly a hundred students, teachers and practitioners from institutions in Shanghai, Istanbul, Bucharest, Kaposvár and Budapest. The participants will engage in workshops, training sessions and joint productions, culminating in public performances and cultural exchanges with the local community.

In Szeged, the XXI. Szegedi Nyári Akadémia begins on June 29 at the Bartók Béla Faculty of the University of Szeged. The free, week‑long program offers concerts, master‑class discussions and a gala concert, featuring Hungarian and international musicians such as cellist Mód Orsolya and vocalist Magda Dávid, and provides young artists with professional mentorship and performance opportunities.
