Hungary police rescue missing persons with drones

In Bács‑Kiskun County, police deployed a heat‑camera drone and search‑dogs after 47‑year‑old János B. disappeared from his rural home while intoxicated. The specialist rescue team located him in a concealed shed, and he was taken to a medical facility for observation.

At Lake Balaton near Siófok, authorities responded to a woman's suicide note and missing‑person report. Using a drone to scan the shoreline, police spotted the woman in the water about 50 metres from shore and rescued her with assistance from a colleague. She was transported to a hospital for further care.
