Hungary public holidays 2027 to feature six long weekends

Under current Hungarian labor law, there are 11 public holidays annually. While several holidays fall on weekdays, others, such as Labour Day and the anniversary of the 1956 Revolution, fall on Saturdays or Sundays. The status of Christmas Eve remains uncertain. These holiday schedules may impact shop opening hours, public administration, and various services, though tourism and transport sectors often operate under separate holiday arrangements.
