The Hungarian government has launched a major campaign to recover public assets. Prime Minister Péter Magyar announced that the administration is working to reclaim wealth previously outsourced to private foundations and entities. He noted that over 3,000 billion forints of public assets, including real estate and cash, were moved into the Kekva system under the previous administration. Additionally, more than 100 billion forints have already been returned to the state budget following investigations into companies like Duna Aszfalt.

To manage this process, the National Asset Recovery and Protection Office (NVVH) is being established. A dedicated health quality control authority is projected to begin operations in early 2027.

Meanwhile, the Hungarian State Treasury (MÁK) has awarded a 219 million forint contract to Hoduna Kft. for moving its operations to a new complex in Zugló. This move proceeds despite the government's recent decision to withdraw from purchasing the office complex from the Bayer Group.
