Hungary records two fatal traffic accidents in Somogy and Csongrád‑Csanád counties

A severe road collision on the 6511 road between Tab and Bábonymegyer in Somogy County killed a 20‑year‑old motorcyclist and left his passenger with life‑threatening injuries. The accident involved a motorcycle that crossed into the opposite lane and struck a car, with a third vehicle also impacted. Emergency services closed the highway for several hours while rescuers worked at the scene.

A separate incident on the 4519 road near Sándorfalva in Csongrád‑Csanád County resulted in the death of a car driver after the vehicle left the roadway under unclear circumstances. The crash prompted a full‑width road closure and an investigation by police and traffic experts.

Both accidents are under investigation to determine the exact causes, and authorities have urged motorists to exercise heightened caution, especially during the summer traffic peak.
