Hungary reports two child drowning deaths

A two‑year‑ten‑month‑old child died after drowning in a bathtub in Győr, Hungary. The child had a high fever and, according to police, may have suffered a febrile seizure before slipping into the shallow water. The incident is being investigated as a criminal case by the Győr‑Moson‑Sopron County Police.

Separately, a 14‑year‑old girl named Titanilla H. drowned in the Sajó River near the town of Köröm in Borsod‑Abaúj‑Zemplén County. She was pulled from the water by emergency responders but could not be revived despite advanced resuscitation efforts. Local authorities and the community have expressed grief and initiated support for the family.
