Hungary revokes M6 motorway operating rights from Mészáros–Szíjj consortium

Prime Minister Péter Magyar announced that the Hungarian government is revoking the M6 motorway's operating rights from the Mészáros–Szíjj consortium. The government claims this move will save 100 billion forints in public funds. Additionally, Magyar stated that legal charges will be filed due to previous decisions made by János Lázár. The government intends to launch a new competitive tender process for the future operation of the affected section.

Separately, records regarding parliamentary contracts have highlighted Pink Túzok Kft., a company established in March 2025 by Bence Berkes. The company was contracted for 12 million forints gross to provide the live broadcast of the National Assembly's inaugural session on May 9. While the company claims independence from the Tisza Party, its owner also manages Árad a Tisza Kft., which handles the party's merchandise. Pink Túzok Kft. reported a net revenue of 222 million forints within its first nine months of operation.
