Hungary rolls out 2026 regional agrotourism and arts festivals across multiple counties

From 22 August to 4 October 2026, the Nyitott Porta Napok (Open Gate Days) will travel to 19 regions of Hungary over five weekends. The programme features rural manufactories, family farms and wineries that will display animal husbandry, crop production, tastings, craft workshops and musical events. Organisers say the tour aims to boost agrotourism, shorten supply chains and foster long‑term collaborations between producers and consumers. It is supported by the National Agrarian Chamber, the Agrarian Marketing Centre and several regional development groups.

The 35th edition of the Arts Valley festival will run from 24 July to 2 August 2026 in the Veszprém‑county villages of Kapolcs, Taliándörögd and Vigántpetend. More than 4,000 programmes are scheduled, including concerts, exhibitions, theatre, new‑circus acts, literary evenings, dance performances, workshops and a wide selection of local food and craft stalls. Tickets are available for single days, three‑day passes or the full ten‑day span, and the line‑up features Hungarian jazz, folk, pop and classical acts as well as national and regional literary figures.
