Hungary schedules Ördögkatlan arts festival and Veszprém‑Balaton Filmpiknik for August 2026

The 19th Ördögkatlan Festival will take place from 4 to 8 August 2026 across Beremend, Kisharsány, Nagyharsány, Szoborpark and Vylyan. Organized under the MOL‑Új Európa Alapítvány, the five‑day event will feature theatre, concerts, literature, film, classical and contemporary music, with guests such as poet Grecsó Krisztián, filmmaker Enyedi Ildikó and musicians Platon Karataev. The programme highlights works like Revizor, Reggel és este, and new productions by Balhéatlasz.

The Veszprém‑Balaton Filmpiknik is scheduled for 27 – 29 August 2026 in Veszprém and Balatonfüred, organized by Veszprém‑Balaton 2023 Zrt. Artistic director László Kolozsi leads a programme of about sixty feature, documentary, short and animated Hungarian films, including commemorations of Latinovits Zoltán, Tarr Béla and Herskó János. The festival will also offer concerts, children’s activities, panel discussions and other summer‑season events.
