Hungary spends over 1.5 billion forints on Karmelita monastery luxury upgrades

Luxury interior items accounted for the bulk of the cost: lamps designed in a Secession‑Art Deco style were bought from Zengővári Kft. for 266 million forints, an organ built by Aeris Orgona Kft. cost 270 million forints, and a large painting by Kisléghi Nagy Ádám fetched 179 million forints. Upholstered chairs, curtains and other textiles added 56.6 million forints, while rugs from Karibi and Bizsán Gallery cost 7 million and about 20 million respectively.
