Hungary suffers two deadly accidents: road crash in Somogy and train fatality near Tápiógyörgy

A frontal collision between two passenger cars on Highway 65 between Som and Ságvár in Somogy County left a 67‑year‑old woman dead and two other occupants with serious limb, abdominal, pelvic and head injuries. Emergency crews rescued the victims, performed resuscitation attempts for the woman, and transported the injured to hospital.

Later on Saturday night near Tápiógyörgy, a train traveling toward Budapest struck a person on the tracks, resulting in a fatality. Fourteen passengers were on board; fire‑fighters assisted with the safe evacuation of passengers, and minor service delays were reported as trains were limited to a single track while investigations continued.
