Hungary to undergo nationwide digital administration shutdown
Major Hungarian state electronic administration services will face a temporary shutdown on Sunday, November 8, due to planned maintenance of the Central Identification Agent (KAÜ) system. The outage is scheduled to occur between 00:01 and 05:00.
As most state platforms rely on the KAÜ for authentication, several critical services will be unavailable. This includes the Electronic Health Service Space (EESZT) and the EgészségAblak mobile application, meaning users will be unable to access electronic prescriptions, medical results, or book appointments.
For citizens and businesses, access to the Ügyfélkapu, Cégkapu, Webes Ügysegéd, and the official electronic repository (Tárhely) will be suspended. The National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV) has warned that official electronic correspondence cannot be sent or received during this period. While the Digital Citizen (DÁP) app will remain launchable, new registrations and logins to external systems via the app will be unavailable.
