Automotive market updates: XPeng launches L03 and BMW expands iX3 deliveries
The automotive market is seeing significant shifts in electric vehicle (EV) availability and consumer preferences. XPeng has launched the L03 SUV coupe in Hungary and Romania, offering both fully electric and range-extender versions. In Romania, the L03 starts at €36,990, positioning it as a competitor to the Tesla Model Y.
In the United States, BMW is beginning early deliveries of the iX3 electric SUV due to high demand, with production currently centered in Debrecen, Hungary. While North American models are currently exported from Hungary, BMW plans to begin production in Mexico by 2027.
Data from the Hungarian used car market shows a 16% increase in demand for used SUVs, with the Tesla Model Y and Hyundai Kona entering the top ten most popular models. The BMW X series remains the most sought-after, despite a slight dip in interest.
In Belgium, official reports indicate that Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) Supervised system has covered 24.6 million kilometers without being the cause of any reportable accidents, though accidents occurred when drivers disengaged the system to take manual control.
