Hungary weather: Cold front to bring temperature drop and wind

A cold front is expected to move through Hungary starting Sunday night, bringing a significant drop in temperatures and potentially stormy conditions. According to HungaroMet Zrt., the transition will end the recent summer heat, with daytime highs expected to settle around 18–24 degrees Celsius throughout the week.

Wind conditions are expected to be strong, with northwest winds potentially becoming stormy in parts of the country, particularly in the Transdanubia and central regions. While Monday may see some sunshine, showers and thunderstorms are possible, especially in the northeastern parts of the country.

Nighttime temperatures will drop sharply, with some sheltered or frost-prone areas potentially seeing temperatures near freezing (around 4 degrees Celsius) during the early morning hours. This shift marks the arrival of more autumnal weather patterns, characterized by cooler mornings and variable cloud cover.
