Hungary women's U16 basketball team takes fifth at EuroBasket

The Hungarian women's U16 national basketball team secured fifth place at the FIBA U16 Women's EuroBasket in Pitesti, Romania, after defeating Turkey with a score of 70-59.

Hungary established an early lead, jumping to a 6-2 advantage within the first 51 seconds. Despite Turkey attempting to close the gap, Hungary maintained control throughout the match. A significant scoring run in the second quarter allowed Hungary to lead 40-23 by halftime. Enikő Halasy led the scoring with 19 points, supported by Anna Pomsár with 8 points and Lia Székely with 7 points.
