Hungary's car market reports record hybrid listings as Chery Tiggo 7 HEV debuts

Hungarian automotive dealer Barta Autó Holding announced the launch of the Chinese‑made Chery Tiggo 7 HEV, priced from 9.49 million forints with a 200 000‑forint rebate on registration costs for new buyers. The model will be displayed at the company's new showroom on Kistályai út 14/A in Eger.

Meanwhile, the domestic used‑car market saw a sharp climb in hybrid listings, up 42 % year‑on‑year, while overall buyer inquiries rose by about 19 000. Average listing prices increased slightly from 5.4 million to 5.5 million forints, and the average mileage of advertised vehicles fell from 179 400 km to 171 400 km. The average age of cars on sale dropped to 12.6 years. Vehicles under 2.5 million forints still make up 35.7 % of supply, though that share fell 4.6 percentage points, while the 2.5–10 million forint segment continues to grow. Hybrid‑specific interest rose 57 % compared with the previous year, although gasoline models remain dominant, comprising about 48 % of the fleet and receiving over 14 000 additional inquiries in June.
