Hungary's Interior Minister and Israeli Ambassador Discuss Strengthening Security Cooperation

Hungary's interior minister, Pósfai Gábor, met with Israel's ambassador to Budapest, Maya Kadosh, to review and deepen bilateral security cooperation. The officials affirmed that Israel remains a key partner for Hungary in addressing security challenges and emphasized the exchange of expertise and joint actions against threats.

Both sides reiterated Hungary's zero‑tolerance stance on antisemitism, pledging to combat hate speech, violence and extremist activity against the Jewish community. The meeting highlighted the governments' commitment to protect all communities in Hungary and to maintain a respectful, safe environment.

The discussion also covered broader diplomatic ties, with the participants noting a long‑standing friendship rooted in shared values and mutual support.
