Hungary launches summer festival season with VeszprémFest, Balaton concerts and charity events

The VeszprémFest opens on July 15‑18 in Veszprém’s História Kert, featuring a line‑up of international and Hungarian acts. Organisers have prepared rain contingencies, moving shows to the Veszprém Arena if needed, and have detailed parking options for up to 600 cars across temporary sites and city garages.

The MOL Nagyon Balaton series runs throughout July and August around Lake Balaton, with headline performers such as Juanes, Kraftwerk, Pink Martini, Adam Beyer, Rick Astley and Earth, Wind & Fire. The schedule includes the VeszprémFest opening (July 15‑18), Bmy Lake techno festival (July 16‑18), the Arts Valley in Kapolcs (July 24‑August 2) and the STRAND Festival in Zamárdi (August 19‑23).

Budapest’s summer program adds free cultural offerings: the Palotai Nyári Játékok (July 23‑26), Kashmir Festival (August 15‑16), Folkpark Táncházfest (August 21), TE!Feszt (August 28‑30) and the Sólet Festival (August 30). These events feature music, dance, theatre and culinary experiences across the city.

From July 17‑19, the Beregszászi Vendégség charity fair takes place on Kossuth Square, with proceeds pledged to support Ukrainian armed forces. The three‑day programme includes exhibitions on the Russia‑Ukraine war, concerts, a run for fallen heroes and a veteran football tournament.

The Óbuda Health Development Office also runs free summer health‑screening programmes, offering ankle‑arm index tests, arteriographic examinations and dementia screening throughout July and August.
