Hungary's music scene showcases Antal Gábor Trio's new album and Bródy János tribute at Sziget Festival

The Antal Gábor Trio, a ten‑year‑old Hungarian jazz ensemble, released their latest album *Shards of Peace*. The three‑part work explores the fleeting nature of peace and the role of jazz in anchoring listeners to the present moment. In an interview the trio’s founder Antal Gábor emphasized that “you play the instrument as the person you are,” linking personal self‑awareness to musical expression.

On the same week, a large‑scale reinterpretation of Bródy János’s classic song “Mindannyian mások vagyunk” was prepared for Sziget Festival’s “Minus One Day” concert. More than fifty Hungarian singers and musicians—including Bagossy Norbert, Hernádi Judit, Charlie, and many others—recorded a new version and a video clip. The event, described by festival founder Gerendai Károly as embodying “freedom, openness, cultural diversity and respect for one another,” will feature a nearly six‑hour megaconcert celebrating Bródy’s legacy.
