Hungary's NB I B Women's Handball Season Opens with Fixtures and Test Match

A preseason friendly was held in Orosháza where Zengő Alföld Orosházi KA defeated Békéscsabai Előre NKSE 36–25 before a crowd of about 150. The match served as a joint preparation for the two NB I B women's handball clubs, emphasizing fitness, rhythm and tactical work.

The Hungarian handball federation published the full schedule for the upcoming NB I B season. The opening round on 6 September pits Zengő Alföld Orosházi KA against Győri ETO KC U20, while Békéscsabai Előre NKSE faces Debreceni VSC U20. The calendar lists twelve matchdays for the 2023‑24 season, with the final round scheduled for May 2027. Team changes include the promotion of Kozármisleny to replace MTK and Eszterházy SE, the loss of a second‑division licence by Dunaújváros allowing EURONOVEX to remain, and the entry of TFSE and Orosháza from NB II with Pécsi EAC and Szeged swapping places. Clubs may agree on exact match dates up to 11 August and may even exchange home‑court assignments.
