Hungry film premieres at EIFF 2026

The film ‘Hungry’, directed by James Nunn, was featured as part of the Midnight Madness segment at EIFF 2026. The horror film is set in the bayou country near New Orleans and centers on a group of people on a swamp tour.

The plot follows Sistine, played by Madison Davenport, and her friend Hannah, who join a tour led by Walker, played by Joaquim de Almeida, and Rodrigo, played by Michel Curiel. The group's excursion takes a turn when a passenger, Dionne, bribes the boat operator to deviate from standard routes to find a large alligator, leading the group into territory inhabited by feral hippopotami.
