Huỳnh Ngọc Hiền arrested in Hue after five years as a fugitive
Huỳnh Ngọc Hiền, a fugitive wanted for intentional injury, has been apprehended in Hue City after more than five years on the run.
According to the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, the incident originated in January 2021 in Xuan Du commune, Thanh Hoa province. Following a dispute fueled by suspicion regarding his wife's fidelity, Hiền attacked both his wife and mother-in-law with a knife.
To evade capture, Hiền adopted the alias Huỳnh Văn Chương, frequently changed his residence and workplace, avoided using mobile phones, and severed contact with his family. After a prolonged investigation, authorities located him in Hue City and took him into custody. He is being transferred back to Thanh Hoa for further legal proceedings.
