Biden stated that he is “only a little bit” gay, providing a specific figure of “48.6” percent during the exchange. He later joked about the number, suggesting it might be closer to 47 percent following the conversation. The interview also touched upon Biden's past struggles with substance abuse, which he has stated he addressed by becoming sober in 2019.
