Hunter Valley Mining Expo to debut in 2027

The inaugural Hunter Valley Mining Expo (HVME) is scheduled to take place from May 19–20, 2027, at the Newcastle Entertainment Centre. Developed by the organizers of major mining events in Queensland and Western Australia, the exhibition aims to provide a dedicated platform for mining companies, suppliers, and industry leaders to discuss operational realities, emerging technologies, and long-term regional opportunities.

Industry response has been significant, with organizers reporting that all sponsorship packages have sold out and the exhibition floor is nearing capacity. Key participants include conveyor solutions specialist Flexco, which has signed on as an inaugural sponsor, and Apollo Engineering, a regional industrial cleaning equipment manufacturer.

The event is expected to focus on critical industry needs such as conveyor reliability, safer maintenance practices, increased productivity, and smarter technologies like asset management and conveyor monitoring solutions.
