Hunter's Full Moon phenomenon visible in Brazil

The Hunter's Full Moon is expected to reach its peak in the early hours of Monday, the 26th, at 1:12 a.m. Brasília time. The phenomenon can be observed during the night of Sunday, the 25th, and throughout Monday.

According to astronomer Emerson Roberto Perez, the name originates from North American indigenous traditions. The term refers to the period following the harvest when lower vegetation and grain remains made it easier for animals to feed, allowing the bright moonlight to assist hunters in spotting them at night.

To observe the event, experts recommend finding a location with a clear eastern horizon, free from buildings or hills. Atmospheric conditions, such as cloud cover and light pollution, may affect visibility. The moon is expected to rise around 6:00 p.m. on Monday, with slight variations depending on the specific city.
