Huánuco peace judge subjected to public punishment by peasant patrols

In the Huánuco region of Peru, a peace judge, Blanca Marisol Quinto Arroyo, was subjected to public punishment by peasant patrols (rondas campesinas) in Codo del Pozuzo. The community members accused the judge of withholding S/35,000 related to a mutual property separation agreement between a couple.

During the incident, which was recorded and shared on social media, Quinto Arroyo was forced to perform physical exercises known as ‘ranas’ (frogs) in the town's main square in front of local residents. Reports indicate that the judge has since returned the money and is considering legal action against the patrol members for alleged mistreatment.
