Hunyadiváros awards and Zichy Palace renovation completed

The XXII Hunyadivárosi Napok event commenced on September 18, 2026, at the Hunyadiváros Community House. The ceremony included the presentation of the Hunyadi Awards, which recognize individuals and communities for their contributions to the development, safety, and community life of Hunyadiváros. Recipients in 2026 included pediatrician Dr. Melinda Suba, FBZ Investment owners László Baradács and Levente Gáti, volunteer Margó Csóka Józsefné, entrepreneur Attila Bognár, and postal workers Szilvia Huszárné Varga and Márta Bajáki. Additionally, certificates of appreciation were awarded to Dr. János Gyapjas and Ferenc Vujovich.

In Komárom, the renovation of the Zichy Palace has reached a new milestone. Following previous exterior updates, the facade facing Klapka Square and the bastion section have been refreshed through a €330,000 investment funded by the city. Internal upgrades totaling approximately €150,000 were also completed, including a modernized heating system and improved air conditioning to address temperature regulation issues. The renovation also included the creation of a modern exhibition space for the Helios Photo Club and updates to the Alapy Gáspár room used by the Museum Friends Circle.
