Huons Lab secures patents for HyDIFFUZE antibody subcutaneous compositions

Huons Lab, a subsidiary of Huons Global, has secured intellectual property rights for its HyDIFFUZE platform technology. The company announced the completion of domestic patent registrations and international patent applications (PCT) for 11 different antibody drug subcutaneous (SC) compositions.

HyDIFFUZE utilizes recombinant human hyaluronidase to temporarily break down hyaluronic acid in subcutaneous tissue, allowing drugs to disperse more widely and rapidly. Non-clinical pharmacokinetic (PK) evaluations demonstrated that the HyDIFFUZE-applied SC formulations achieved a maximum blood concentration (Cmax) between 113% and 170% higher, and drug exposure (AUC) between 117% and 162% higher, compared to SC formulations without the technology.

The 11 targeted antibody drugs include Pembrolizumab, Bevacizumab, Obinutuzumab, Ramucirumab, Donanemab, Isatuximab, Durvalumab, Dostarlimab, Cetuximab, Risankizumab, and Dupilumab. The company intends to expand the application of HyDIFFUZE to various biologics, including antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs).

Additionally, Huons Lab is currently undergoing review by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for its standalone recombinant human hyaluronidase product, following an application submitted last December.
