Hurghada Youth Cinema Festival to launch fourth edition

The fourth edition of the Hurghada Youth Cinema Festival is set to launch this Thursday at the Hurghada Culture Palace. The opening ceremony will be attended by Dr. Waleed Al-Barqi, Governor of the Red Sea, along with various Arab and international filmmakers and stars.

The event will feature a musical tribute to the late composer Hany Shenouda, showcasing themes from his famous film scores such as ‘Al-Mashbouh’ and ‘Shams Al-Zanati’. The ceremony will also honor several actors, including Chico, Hamada Helal, Mostafa Khater, and Sherry Adel.

Presented by actor Tamer Shaltout for the second consecutive year, the festival aims to bridge the gap between art and tourism. Honorary President Islam Abu Al-Nasr noted that the festival has become a significant annual event for Hurghada, integrating cultural activities with tourism promotion for international guests.
